Opportunity: Wash Operative 

Contract: Permanent 

Location: Bangor

Hours: 45 hours Monday – Friday (including every other Saturday AM)

Balloo Hire Centres are a leading provider of tool, plant and welfare equipment hire for businesses and DIY needs in Northern Ireland. Balloo Hire Centres are part of The Briggs Equipment Group and therefore can offer a local solution with corporate level support.

We have a new opportunity for a Wash Operative to join our team in Bangor. 

In the role you will be:

• Ensuring that all equipment due to leave has a pre-hire Inspection completed and is clean both internally and externally.
• Communicating with transport department regarding the receiving and dispatch of all equipment.
• Keeping yard/warehouse area clean and tidy.
• Ensuring that all equipment due to leave the site for hire are cleaned and checked prior to leaving.
• Assisting in the loading/unloading of equipment onto vehicles ensuring safe working practices are adhered to and keeping yard traffic moving.
• Assisting in the refuelling of all machinery returned via the transport dept.
• Ensuring customers are directed to safe parking/loading at all times.

What will help you to excel in this role:

• Forklift truck licence (not essential as training can be provided)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Excellent customer service skills
